Photo Shoot – Bronx the English Bulldog

Sandy beach was scorching hot and ridiculously busy on this sunny summer afternoon, but we had good time walking the park and cooling down in the river. Bronx and Luna even got to spend some time running around and playing in the off-leash area.

Photo Shoot – Sneakers & Roxy

We had a great plan to shoot pictures of Sneakers and Roxy, two Bernese Mountain Dogs at dawn in hopes of catching the sun rising over the city from their favourite off-leash park. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate, and they sun never really came up. It was dark and foggy, and the city skyline never really became visible through the mist. After walking the park for an hour or so, and shooting a handful of pictures with high iso and slow shutter speeds, we decided it would be best to reschedule for a more suitable day.

The resulting pictures were not great by any means, but with a bit of post processing I ended up with a few that I liked despite them being a bit heavy on the filtered surrealistic side of things. I look forward to a second shot at these two beautiful dogs. Hopefully the light treats us a bit better this time.

Photo Shoot – Ginny

Here’s a couple of my favourite shots of Ginny (one of Luna’s neighborhood friends), from a photo-shoot that we did at the local park. She’s such a cutie it was hard to take a bad photo despite the uneventful lighting, and Luna and the other local dogs all doing their best to distract us.

Photo Shoot – Noumy

The August contest winner was a beautiful 120 pound German Shepard and Alaskan Malamute cross named Noumy. We met up at the Shannon Terrace area of Fish Creek Provincial Park in Calgary to take a walk through the forest and shoot some pictures. I underestimated the shortening of  the day, and by 6:30 most of the area was dark enough to make shooting difficult, but we managed to get a few good shots of her.
